The Museum held a very successful AGM on Saturday September 19, 2015. The President’s Report can be read below.

A highlight of the morning was the granting of Life Membership to Mike and Judy Hines, who have raised many thousands of dollars for the Museum through coordinating the marmalade-making enterprise and their careful stewardship of the Museum’s cumquat orchard.

The guest speakers – Stephanie Lindquist and Dr Robert Riddell – spoke about curating the Straddie Style exhibition at the Redland Art Gallery. The exhibition focuses on the beach-style architecture at Point Lookout. Their talk was a fascinating insight into the changing face of beach shacks.

The Straddie Island Singers entertained the crowd with a great set of new songs.
